Craig Dean

Executive Director

In his role as Executive Director, Craig is charged with developing a strategic operating plan for the organization which will include establishing an endowment, establishing programs, communication, and key partnerships. He is also Managing Director of Dean Development Group, overseeing the firm’s business development efforts. Prior to forming Dean Development Group, Craig served as Director of Business Development for Corenic Construction Group and Marshall Moya Design. Craig earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Urban Planning and Public Administration from the University of Maryland, College Park.

George Hall

Vice President, Sustainability | Co-Chair Sustainability Initiatives

George serves as the visionary behind the Conservancy’s sustainability operations, leading the design of programs that connect the beauty of nature with the responsibility of proactive stewardship. His work ensures that the Conservancy’s strategies resonate deeply with visitors, inspiring them to adopt sustainable practices in their own lives. Equally committed to community impact, George has dedicated much of his life to mentoring and coaching young people and actively serves on the boards of nonprofit organizations focused on empowering youth to reach their full potential. He holds a BS from Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, where he also lettered on the Big Red basketball team and met his wife of 30 years, Kerri Fermino. George, along with their sons Julian and Griffin, is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.

Patrice Davenport

Vice President, Development | Co-Chair Community Initiatives

Patrice works to identify and activate high-potential external partners from across sectors in support of the Conservancy's mission. She brings more than 15 years of marketing and communications experience, successfully cultivating dynamic partnerships to address unique constituent needs, communicate value, and grow organizational visibility and influence. She is the founder of the historically-inspired executive gift and fine jewelry collection 1865 Company and cultural winery tour and event company Soul of Sonoma. Patrice holds a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Southern California and an M.P.P from Georgetown University.

Paul Spence

Vice President, Operations | Co-Chair Golf Outreach Initiatives

Paul Spence a native of the Suburbs of Boston, MA found his way to Washington, D.C. to attend Howard University, School of Business majoring in Hotel Restaurant Management. Paul worked in hospitality management for over 36 years for international, national and local companies and was the Managing Partner and General Manager of Civil Cigar Lounge, the Premier Cigar and Whiskey bar in the Mid Atlantic Region. Paul’s unique strengths include building relationships, paying attention to detail, and providing quality assurance.

Through sustained leadership, significant investment, and strategic efforts, Langston Golf Course Conservancy seeks to be a neighborly partner in its vision to establish the surrounding community of the Langston Golf Course as a world-class, preeminent golf destination which serves as a national model for urban revitalization, sustainability, and civic engagement.
